Registering Your Drammen

The Drammen Draft group's primary function is that of a registry. It is here to keep tabs on the horses of the breed. We ask that you register your horses not only so we have a general count of horses but also so it's easier to regulate traits shown (what needs to be added to the import stock and what doesn't).

Now that you have your own Drammen, here's how to register:

1.) The Reference
- This can be either a full-body or a bust, depicting the horse in question. As a group we prefer the full-body, but sometimes people are strapped for time and can only do a bust!
- Can not be on reused lines. All registration refs must be on lines unique to that horse only. It will be declined otherwise.
- People other than the owner may draw the reference (ie. someone can commission another person for a ref)
-The title for the ref needs to be as follows: ID# Registered Name. Please do not put "temp ref", "ref", "new ref", or anything else like that. The ID# should go up front, but do not put an actual "#" sign.
- Author's Comments Section should have the following information listed (in a read-able order)
- Horses in linage must have appropriate, up-to-date links. Please check the ID lists if you are unsure of which is the most recent reference. Any horses that have been deceased need to be marked as such.
Name: (official show name)
Gender: (mare, stallion, filly, colt, or gelding)
Registry Number: 000 (Will be provided)
Age: (foals: 2 wks to 3 yrs, adults: 4+ for stallions, 5+ for mares)
Color: (Usually provided)
Geno: (Will be provided)
Height/ Projected Height for foals: in proper Hands format or cm
Breed: Drafts of Drammen
Points: (Count those up or leave blank until an admin can help. A link to a point journal/list are also acceptable.)
Link to Original Design: (either an import sheet or an accepted foal design)
Bloodlines: (The parents and extended bloodlines. Should be in the following format)
    ------SS: starter
    Sire: Starter
    ------SD: starter

    ------ DS: starter
    Dam: Starter
    ------ DD: starter
Slots/Foals: (Any reserved or used slots. All foals should be LINKED here.)

2.) Registration
- Once the reference is drawn and the above information is completed, the reference should be submitted to the group gallery in one of two folders: Foal References or Adult References. Please make sure to submit to the correct folder. Submissions will be declined if they're submitted to the wrong one.
- The admins in charge of registration will add the horse to the appropriate lists. This will usually be done before the reference is accepted or right after.

Ownership Changes

If you sell, gift, or otherwise transfer a Drammen from one person to another, the group needs to be notified. A note titled "Ownership Change" should be sent in. It should have the following:
Horse Name:
Link to Ref:
New Owner:
An admin will reply with a deadline for the new reference. The previous owner is in charge of telling the new owner of this date.

Changing Ranks

Point updates are really simple, kinda like registering the horse. It can be done at any time or not at all. Horses automatically start out as a First Star horse.

1.) Send in a note titled "Rank Change". (multiple horses can go in one)

2.) In this note, please put the following information:
Horse Name:
Link to Ref:
Link to Point Break Down:
3.) An admin will contact you with the updated score and any discrepancies.

Deceasing a Horse

We understand that sometimes people don't want their horses or want to clear up their barn.

1.) Send in a note titled "Deceased Horse(s)". (multiple horses can go in one)

2.) In this note, please put the following information:
Horse Name:
Link to Ref:
3.) An admin will contact you once this is done. You must update the horses' ref to state that they are now deceased.

A 30-day grace period is given for people to use any breeding slots they have (must be listed before the horse is marked as deceased). During this time the owner of the horse may NOT either give a shorter time period to complete the breeding or change the requirements. People who have slots may contact the group if the owner does either of those things.

Once a horse is deceased, it is final. The owner may not change their mind and bring the horse back. The only time something like this happens is if the horse is reclaimed. To be eligible for a reclaim one of the following must have happened: the horse was supposed to be transferred to another person and was not (must have proof, such as links to comments or screenshots), the horse was killed before it was registered, former owner or sire/dam owner take back a horse from someone who broke group or breeding rules. Each of these is a case by case basis.

Horses are not allowed to be killed before they are registered. If anyone kills off an import before registering it, the horse will be reclaimed by the group and sold. With foals, the horse will either be given back to previous owners or the registry number will be cleared and the breeding slots returned to the parents. This is to prevent mass barn-clearances from crowding up registry numbers.

Reclaims

Reclaims may only occur if
-Specific private rules are broken. This does not apply to extremely elaborate rules (ex. sell the horse back for half price or free)
-Group rules were broken.
-Person is banned from the group.
-Person has become inactive (Subject to group interpretation)

The only people who may reclaim a horse are
-CURRENT sire/dam owners
-Previous owners
-Someone with solid proof that they should own the horse (screencaps showing a transaction in which they were sold or gifted said horse)

Sire and Dam Reclaims
-Reclaims may only happen if both sire and dam owner agree. Should one owner notify the group, the second owner will be contacted as well.
-If neither owner can agree who gets the foal, the ranking system goes this way
-Higher ranking parent > lower ranking parent
  -Mutation parent > natural parent
-Dom mutation parent > recessive mutation parent
-This applies to current owners only. People who previously owned a horse may not reclaim foals resulting from that horse. This includes horses that are marked as deceased.

So we need to notify the group every time the Drammen gains points?
